Entrepreneurship 100: Regrets, I’ve Had A Few
January 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Mistakes made by entrepreneurs (who lived to talk about them)
Entrepreneurship isn’t about sitting back and watching TED talks. It’s about putting yourself out there and getting it done. When entrepreneurs are busy getting it done, every step can be daunting because it may seem like any mistake can end up killing their startup. Join our interactive conversation on January 30 to ask and hear about some of the mistakes and missteps taken by well-intentioned and intelligent people while running their company and how they did (or did not) manage to survive them.
For this evening event, moderator Keri Damen will be joined by a panel of Toronto-based founders who can admit that they have not been perfect while running companies. They will speak about some of the more notable mistakes they’ve made in an effort to let other entrepreneurs know how they might avoid pitfalls, and if unavoidable, how to bounce back from a misstep.
Entrepreneurship 100: Conversations is an event series connecting curious people with diverse entrepreneurs. Featuring an interactive Q&A conversation and a chance to meet with the panelists, Entrepreneurship 100 is a casual and unintimidating way to learn about starting a business—no MBA required!
Best of all: we always serve refreshments and the events are free for anyone to attend, not just University of Toronto students.
As this is a free public event, we know that not everyone who registers for tickets attends. To make sure we have a full house we allocate more tickets than there are seats. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Admission is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive in good time for the start of the event.
